Chef Chris has spent years perfecting his famous brisket and our in-house barbecue sauce is a crowd favorite. We believe in using only the best ingredients and cooking everything low and slow to bring out the incredible flavors. Our goal is to make every bite of our barbecue an unforgettable experience for our customers.

Chef Christopher Burke was born and raised in NYC where he
was exposed to a rich culture of culinary delights. After studying at the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Chris spent years as Sous Chef and Executive Chef in some of the best kitchens of New York before heading to Singapore to continue his studies.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chef Chris found himself in Ocean Isle Beach when he was invited to a good old fashioned Eastern NC BBQ where he discovered the world of smoked meats. After diving into the art of barbecue, he found his passion in Texas-style Barbecue and takes great pride in his brisket, ribs, and bbq. Chris is now an Ocean Isle Beach local and Head Chef at the iconic Crown Barbecue on Highway 130 just outside of Whiteville, NC.
